Bizarre travel plans are dancing lessons from God - Kurt VonnegutIn the past week as well as going into school to teach English we have done some really fun things. Firstly I will start with my favourite topic, food. Everyday between the morning and afternoon lessons Hector cooks lunch in his home and then puts it into take away containers and delivers them to people at work in the town. Nathan and I are lucky to receive one of these fabulous lunches everyday. So in the past week we have had vegetable soup, spaghetti bolognaise, chicken salad, omelette and a vegetable stew with rice. They are absolutely amazing and it's so nice to have a home cooked meal delivered to us. It's definitely inspired us to talk about what we will make for school next year, so Alison get ready for some creative shared lunches in September! The empanadas here are not the same as in Argentina. In Argentina they are baked but here they are fried, which makes them taste amazing but also super bad for you! We have had a few but I need to limit my intake or I will not fit in to my dress that I sent to Sam's house in Australia ready for NYE! Saturday morning the volunteers had a boat trip organised to see the sea lions at 10am. Valou and I were not feeling our best after sharing far to many bottles of red the night before and due to not fully being awake I forgot to take my travel sickness pills and spent the one hour trip looking pretty white and hanging off the side of the rocking boat!
