Today driving home I realised I have 10 days left in the working world before having an entire year off. Everyone got their timetables today and I think this is when it hit me that none of my classes are my classes next year and my room is someone elses. This wasn't a sad or happy realisation but a realisation all the same that my life as I have known it for the past 6 years is changing and that change will be here sooner than I know. I love my job a lot but this year has been the perfect year to take a break as I said goodbye to my perfect form 11A and Monday night at Prom really was the end of being a Year 11 form tutor and what a great 5 years that has been, definitely the highlight of my job seeing those cheeky faced 11 year olds turn into mature and awesome 16 year olds!!! I am excited for the break and excited to return in Sept 2015 for the new challenges JRCS will throw at me.
So as for the rest of our plans......Megan our tenant dropped out of moving into the flat last week and this has been pretty stressful but fingers crossed we lowered the rental price and seem to have a couple interested so here is hoping this works out and they will move in on Monday 21st July. The mission now is to box up the flat, pack my bag and get on that flight to Rio!
A friend of mine from America wrote an email to me a few weeks ago and his advice at the bottom made me smile and I felt it deserved to be mentioned.......'Be wary of glaciers, careful of jellyfish, aware of your surroundings, mindful of your actions and words, protective of your hubby, don't drink the water and stay off the brown Acid'
So I guess all that is left to say right now is 'Hello World I cannot wait to meet you!'
